This is the day-to-day work that keeps your numbers trustworthy: reconciling every bank and card account, coding transactions to the right categories with the correct GST treatment, keeping track of who owes you money, and producing reports you can actually use.
The point of doing it regularly rather than in quarterly bursts is that recent transactions are quick to handle and old ones are not. Errors also get caught while they are single mistakes, before they have been repeated forty times.
Who it suits
Businesses that have outgrown doing the books on a Sunday night — usually because transaction volume has grown, staff have been taken on, or the owner has simply started avoiding it. If you cannot say what you earned last month without opening the bank app, this is the service that fixes it.
How we work
We work in Xero and MYOB, online, so you keep full visibility of your own file at all times. Nothing is taken away from you. We work alongside your accountant rather than replacing them, and hand over clean records at year end — which usually reduces what you spend on accounting.
Most clients start with one area and expand once it is running smoothly. You do not have to hand over everything at once.
